Position Overview:
IT Technicians for a computer refresh project. The technicians will assist with the installation and deployment of PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and other peripherals. A dedicated Service/Staffing Manager from Encore will be available for any questions, concerns, or escalations during the assignment.
Project Scope & Responsibilities:
IT Technicians to perform desktop support tasks related to a comprehensive computer refresh. Key responsibilities include:
- Deployment and installation of PCs, laptops, monitors, printers, and associated peripherals.
- Assist with hardware setup, configuration, and troubleshooting as needed.
- Support the migration of user profiles and data as part of the refresh process.
- Perform basic IT tasks including troubleshooting, testing, and ensuring proper functionality of new equipment.
- Maintain a clean and organized work area, including proper disposal of old equipment and trash at designated collection points.
Contract Details:
- Initial Term: 6-month contract with an option for extension. A 30-day notice is required for contract extension. Billing will continue monthly.
- Work Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week, per technician. Weekly hours and schedules may vary depending on project needs.
- Timesheet Approval: Client approval of weekly timesheets will confirm the hours worked and acceptance of services rendered.
- Overtime: Pre-approval required for overtime. Overtime rates apply for hours exceeding 40 hours per week.
PHI and Privacy Considerations:
- The role does not require the processing or storage of Protected Health Information (PHI). Any incidental access to PHI will be minimal and not part of the core responsibilities.
Travel & Expenses:
- Travel expenses will be reimbursed for any work performed outside the primary work location at 1 Children's Plaza, Dayton, OH, or the nearby campus area.
Physical Demands:
- The position involves physical tasks, such as lifting and moving equipment, bending, and installing computer hardware and peripherals.
- Technicians will also be responsible for disposing of outdated equipment and managing related waste at designated collection points.
Required Skills & Qualifications:
- Certifications: A+ Certification (current) is highly preferred.
- Experience: Demonstrated experience in PC/laptop deployments, desktop support, and IT hardware installation.
- Technical Knowledge: Solid understanding of Active Directory and Windows 11 (WIN11) required.
